FAQs

Honor Shield is completely free and available to use by faculty in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.

Verification takes about 5 days. If we are able to verify you are a faculty member at the associated university, we should be able to grant you access to upload exams. If we are unable to verify that you are a member of the faculty at the associated university, we cannot grant access.



You can edit your exam by hovering over the exam and clicking the pencil icon. If it is in the “Received” status, you can make any changes to the exam including uploading a new file. Once it has moved to the Processing status, within 48 hours of your exam time, you’ll be able to edit only the title of the exam, postpone the exam or cancel it. You won’t be able to edit the questions or upload a new file.


The exam content is deleted from our system on a monthly basis. We use the questions only to block answers while the exam is taking place.
